hypocrisy?

a nice little story, it's vesak day, a buddhist holiday, and this hindu family is out to celebrate this special occasion with their buddhist friends and neighbours. the candles are for the candlelight procession, when the symbolic spreading of the light takes place. they refuse to run the picture because the people in it are not buddhists.

so much for us singapore citizens pledging ourselves as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion.

Gargh. Your story perfectly encapsulates what is so damn wrong with race relations in this country. They'll give me a Sinda award, but they won't run your picture.
