loneliness
much as i love my job, there is a degree of loneliness when you are out of the country on assignment. sometimes you are lucky enough to get a decent hotel in a ravaged country, but a nice empty room is a poor substitute for being with the person you love.

Cheer up dude. Everyone's always awaiting your return home everytime you head out somewhere. Think of it as a "refresh" button. And you'll appreciate friendships and relationships better after all these. I know all about it.
