Exaggerating or Misleading?

Photographer Justin Mott wrote a very relevant piece on his blog about the fine line between exaggerating and misleading and how some photographers dance across this very fine line.

Not going to paraphrase what he has already penned down very succinctly, but he makes a lot of valid points. It all boils down to integrity, something that I feel is very important for a photographer to have.

One of the reasons why this piece resonates with me is because an incident mentioned in the piece (which does not specifically identify the perpetrators or the locations) where misleaders have somewhat "muscled" (and I use this term very loosely) onto my "turf".

A must read for photographers or those interested in breaking into the industry and even if you don't agree with all it, it is something you definitely need to consider.
