After a long night of story ideas and project defending, the participants of Shooting Home 2013, one of Singapore's premier photographic workshops organized by the Objectifs Centre for Photography and Filmmaking are finally ready to hunker down and start taking photos.
Into it's 11 year, the workshop has seen some 100 participants pass through its doors with a significant number of those going on to be professional photographers and visual artists.
Having been been involved in the workshop in one way or another since it's inception in 2003, it's something I look forward to every year, to not only learn from fellow faculty members, but also fresh perspectives and ideas from the participants.
Like every other year, this year's faculty is composed of a group of established photographers of different genres. Dita Alangkara, chief photographer of the Associated Press' Indonesia bureau, Architecture / Landscape photographer Darren Soh, Visual Artist Tay Wei Leng and Educator / Artist Chow Chee Yong.
